Abstract

Solitary bone cyst of the metatarsal bone is uncommon. We report such a lesion in a eleven years old boy who presented with a cystic lesion of the second metatarsal. Clinic, radiographic and pathologic findings and cyst aspiration evocated solitary bone cyst. Child was treated successfully with repeated intralesional steroid injection. A review of literature and the different diagnosis and treatment modalities used for managing metatarsal bone cyst is also presented.
