The original publication of this article contains an erroneous sea area name, which is corrected as below.
In “Distribution” of Flavocaranx gen. nov., “Arabian Gulf” in the original version should be replaced with “Persian Gulf” in accordance with the standards and specifications set by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO 1953).
