Strategy of endoscopic exploration of the small bowell

Résumé

Les progrès récents ont considérablement étendu les possibilités d’examen morphologique de l’intestin grêle, tant par des examens radiologiques (entéroscanner ou entéro-IRM) qu’endoscopiques (capsule endoscopique, endoscopie double ballon).

L’utilisation de ces méthodes permet une approche plus simple et plus efficace des maladies de l’intestin grêle, tant sur le plan diagnostique que thérapeutique. Par sa simplicité de mise en œuvre, la capsule endoscopique doit être regardée comme l’examen de première intention. L’entéroscopie double ballon permet quant à elle des biopsies et des traitements (électrocoagulation, dilatation, polypectomie). Elle apparaît donc comme complémentaire de la capsule endoscopique dans la plupart des cas.
