Abstract:
The simulation of a two-dimensional, broadly polydisperse, living polymers system at high concentration reveals an unusual conformational behaviour for the longer chains. Unlike in three dimensions, the longer chains are not swollen but are squeezed by the smaller chains. This observation is discussed in terms of a two dimensional solvent- polymer mixture whose solvent particules are larger than the polymer monomers.
