Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die Ursachen einer Bewusstlosigkeit, insbesondere bei jungen Patienten, sind vielfältig. Häufig ist es prähospital nicht möglich, die Hintergründe aufzuklären. Dieser Fallbericht beschreibt die Reanimation eines jungen Patienten nach Intoxikation mit einem Gemisch aus Schwefelsäure und Ameisensäure in vermutlich suizidaler Absicht.

Ergebnisse

Erst im Nachhinein wurde die ungewöhnliche Ursache für die Bewusstlosigkeit entdeckt. Dieser Fall zeigt, wie differenziert Suizidenten vorgehen können und wie sensibel an solche Einsätze heranzugehen ist.

Schlussfolgerung

Glücklicherweise kamen weder Ersthelfer noch Einsatzkräfte zu Schaden.

Abstract

Background

The reasons for loss of consciousness are numerous, especially in younger patients. Frequently, it is not possible to determine the exact cause in a prehospital setting. This case report presents a case of resuscitation of a young patient after intoxication with a mixture of formic acid and sulfuric acid with presumably suicidal intentions.

Results

The unusual cause of unconsciousness was first discovered in retrospect

Conclusions

Fortunately, neither first responders nor emergency medical personnel were harmed in this situation.
