Zusammenfassung
Das präklinische Airwaymanagement bei Patienten mit vorbestehenden, malignen Erkrankungen des Larynx stellt eine große Herausforderung an den Notarzt dar. Wir berichten über einen sicherlich seltenen Fall einer Blutung aus der A. carotis communis nach Erosion in Folge eines vorbestehenden Larynxkarzinoms und der daraus resultierenden notwendigen präklinischen fiberoptischen Intubation zur Atemwegssicherung.
Abstract
The preclinical airwaymanagement on patients with known malignant diseases of the larynx pose a great challenge to emergency medical physicians. We are reporting a certainly rare case of a major bleeding of the carotic artery caused by an erosion from a pre-existing carcinoma of the larynx. This resulted in a mandatory preclinical fibreoptic intubation to assure the airway.
