Public Access Defibrillation: ein Projekt in Coburg/Bayern

Zusammenfassung

Die mechanische kardiopulmonale Reanimation inkl. der frühzeitigen Defibrillation stellt das gesicherte Therapiekonzept bei Kammerflimmern dar. Aufgrund der positiven Erfahrungen im Rettungsdienst hat es sich der ASB Coburg zur Aufgabe gemacht im Rahmen eines „Laien-Defibrillations-Programms“ zielgerichtet Personengruppen an automatischen externen Defibrillatoren (AED) auszubilden. Neben zahlreichen Betrieben hat sich auch die Stadt Coburg, als erste Stadt des Regierungsbezirks Oberfranken, und damit als zweite Stadt in Bayern überhaupt, entschlossen, öffentliche Gebäude mit AED auszurüsten. Essenziell ist neben einer gründlichen Instruktorenausbildung auch eine ärztliche Programmleitung sowie ein Konzept, das als Grundlage für ein ärztliches Qualitätsmanagement dient.

Abstract

Mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation including early defibrillation represents a reliable treatment concept for ventricular fibrillation. As a result of the positive experience in emergency medical services, the ASB in Coburg has taken upon itself the task of training specific groups of people in the use of automatic external defibrillators (AED) as part of a “layperson’s defibrillation program.” In addition to numerous businesses, the city of Coburg has also decided to equip public buildings with AED, making it the first city in the administrative district of Upper Franconia and hence the second city in Bavaria to do so. Besides in-depth instruction, prerequisites include a program under physicians’ guidance and a concept that can serve as a basis for medical quality management.
