Zusammenfassung

Es wird ein Überblick über die Diagnostik und Therapie der Kalkaneusfrakturen gegeben, wobei auf die Anatomie und Biomechanik, die Frakturpathologie, die bildgebenden Verfahren und die gebräuchlichen Klassifikationen eingegangen wird. Konservative und operative Therapieoptionen werden unter Berücksichtigung von Indikation, Technik, Nachbehandlung, Komplikationen und Folgeeingriffen aufgezeigt.

Abstract

The diagnosis and therapy of calcaneal fractures are reviewed with details of anatomy and biomechanics, fracture pathology, radiographic and computer tomographic evaluation, and the classification systems in current use. Operative and conservative treatment options are highlighted with reference to the indications for each and the techniques and postoperative therapy required, the possible complications, and the revision procedures for their correction.
