Computerassistierte Frakturreposition mit dem Hexapodfixateur externe

Der Hexapod ist eine in der Robotertechnik bekannte Konstruktion für die dreidimensionale Einstellung einer Plattform. Er wird u. a. im Flugsimulator zur Lagesteuerung des Cockpits verwendet. Durch Anwendung des Prinzips im Fixateur externe ergibt sich ein System, welches sich vorteilhaft für die Anwendung bei der Frakturreposition eignet. In Kombination mit einer Software erfolgt die exakte Einstellung des Fixateurs. Dabei bleibt die Stabilität zu jedem Zeitpunkt während der Repositionsmanöver erhalten, die schmerzfrei durchgeführt werden können. Translationen, Achskorrekturen und Rotationen sind sowohl einzeln als auch in beliebiger Kombination bei komplexen Fragmentdislokationen möglich. Insbesondere können dislozierte Frakturen verspätet reponiert werden. Das System eröffnet neue Möglichkeiten der Frakturreposition.

The hexapod (Stewart platform) is well known in robotics as a mechanism for performing three-dimensional positioning of a platform. It is used, for example, in flight simulators for controlling the orientation of the cockpit. When this principle is applied in an external fixator, the resulting system can be used to advantage in fracture reduction. Computer software allows exact positioning of the fixator. Stability is maintained throughout the reduction procedure, which does not cause the patients any pain. Translations, axial corrections and rotations can be performed either singly or in combination to reduce complex displacements. In particular, delayed reduction of displaced fractures is possible. The system will allow new techniques of fracture reduction.
