Abstract
Rehabilitation covers all medical, social educational, psychological and social legal measures to make participation for all people with a disability possible. In the rehabilitation process of individuals with spinal cord injuries “movement and sport” are central elements as measures to improve physical functions, internal stability and identity and return self-confidence. It also supports the participation of handicapped people in the family, career and society. Movement and physical activity make a substantial contribution to improve the quality of life of individuals with spinal cord injuries. The available questionnaire investigation underlines this in particular for the physical and psychological range of quality of life and in addition at the social and context-related levels.
