Schädel-Hirn-Traumen mit raumfordernden Blutung erfordern bei drohender Dekompensation ein rasches Vorgehen. Eine schnelle Rettungskette mit Stabilisierung der Vitalparameter und die Versorgung in einer neurotraumatologisch erfahrenen Klinik senken die Morbiditäts- und Mortalitätsrate. Schädelfrakturen (Impressionen und Liquorfisteln) können oft sekundär versorgt werden.
Abstract
Imminent decompensation of head injuries with space-occupying bleeding requires prompt management. A rapid emergency chain including stabilization of vital parameters and care in a clinic experienced in neurotraumatology reduce morbidity and mortality rates. Skull fractures (depressed fractures and cerebrospinal fluid fistulas) can often be treated secondarily.
