Electrochemical synthesis of polyfluorinated compounds with functional groups

Abstract

The electrochemical fluorination of alkanedisulfonyl fluorides, alkanesulfonyl amides and alkanedisulfonyl amides is described. Detailed analysis of the products and the electrolyte and new information on higher nickel fluorides have led to a new insight into the mechanism of electrochemical fluorination.
