Equilibrium Constant Units Revisited

Abstract

The problem of the units associated with equilibrium constants is revisited. A brief survey of the arguments for and against using units with equilibrium constants is presented and the compromise solution that we have adopted in our teaching, both at the university and school level, is presented and justified.
