Abstract
Endovascular therapy of iliac obstructions has established itself as a complementary option to surgical revascularization. Both approaches should be individually tailored based on the severity of the patients disease and health status as well as lesion characterization. This review discusses the role of the endovascular approach and its value in the treatment of iliac obstruction, as well as the cost effectiveness of surgical and endovascular procedures.
