Abstract

The dose intensity of cytotoxic modalities is of therapeutic relevance in patients with stage I–III small cell lung cancer. This applies to both systemic therapy and thoracic radiotherapy. The majority of published evidence suggests a therapeutic benefit for early radiotherapy given concurrently with second-generation platinum-based chemotherapy.
