Ein Konzept der psychotherapeutischen Betreuung als Hilfsmittel zur Supervision

Zusammenfassung

Die Grundidee war die Frage, was eine Psychotherapie – speziell die personzentrierte – innerhalb eines stationären Settings leisten kann. Was ist sie imstande dazu beizutragen, dass den Patientinnen und Patienten geholfen wird?

Dabei war in dem speziellen Setting zunächst zu klären, ob Psychotherapie überhaupt möglich und sinnvoll ist. Das Ergebnis war, dass sie ihr Tun recht flexibel an die Umgebungsbedingungen anpassen musste. Bei einer engen Definition dessen, was Psychotherapie ist, konnte nur eine geringe Anzahl an Kontakten als Psychotherapie gewertet werden („Inseln der Psychotherapie“). Die Mehrheit der Kontakte wurden vom Autor als „psychotherapeutische Betreuung“ definiert. Diese kann eine Vielzahl an Aufgaben übernehmen und durch die besondere Form der Kommunikation die Patientin/den Patienten unterstützen. Ziel ist die Herstellung eines Kontakts, die Durchführung einer prozessualen Diagnostik sowie eine Aktivierung des Patienten durch Begleitung und Teilhabe.

Abstract

The basic idea was the question: what can psychotherapy – especially person-centered – achieve within an inpatient setting? What can it do to help patients?

Therefore, in the special setting the first thing to do was to clarify whether psychotherapy is at all possible and useful. The result was that its activity had to be adapted to the environment in quite a flexible way. By having a narrower definition of what psychotherapy is, only a low number of contacts can be classed as psychotherapy (“islands of psychotherapy”). The majority of contacts were defined by the author as “psychotherapeutic support”. These can take on a multitude of tasks and support the patient with a special form of communication. The aim is to make contact, carry out a procedural diagnosis, and activate the patient by supporting and sharing.
