Zusammenfassung

Anhand von Beiträgen von Arnoud Arntz und Jill Lobbestael zur Fortbildungsveranstaltung „Schema Assessment, Schema Therapy, Theorie of Mind in Personality Disorders and Relationship Maltreatment“ wird der aktuelle Forschungsstand zur Wirksamkeit der Schematherapie sowie zum Zusammenhang zwischen „Theory of Mind“ und dem Schemakonzept bei Persönlichkeitsstörungen berichtet. Das „Interview für traumatische Kindheitserfahrungen“ (ITEC) zur standardisierten und objektiven Erhebung traumatischer Kindheitserlebnisse sowie die neue deutschsprachige Kurzversion des Schema-Modus-Inventars (SMI) werden vorgestellt. Relevante aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse zum Zusammenhang von traumatischen Kindheitserfahrungen mit bestimmten Schemamodi bei Persönlichkeitsstörungen werden diskutiert. Die praktische Anwendung des Schemakonzepts und der Schematherapie im Rahmen der stationären Behandlung einer Patientin mit emotional instabiler Persönlichkeitsstörung wird illustriert.

Abstract

In the context of presentations by Arnoud Arntz and Jill Lobbestael during the professional education seminar “Schema Assessment, Schema Therapy, Theory of Mind in Personality Disorders and Relationship Maltreatment” the current state of research on the effectiveness of schema therapy, as well as regarding the relationship between Theory of Mind and the schema concept in personality disorders is reviewed. The Interview for Traumatic Experiences in Childhood (ITEC), for the standardized and objective assessment of traumatic childhood experiences, as well as the new short version of the Schema Modi Inventory (SMI; in German) are presented. The latest relevant research results on the connection between traumatic childhood experiences and certain schema modi in personality disorders are discussed. The practical application of schema concepts and schema therapy in the course of an inpatient treatment of a patient with borderline personality disorder is illustrated.
