Zusammenfassung

Dieser Beitrag beschreibt schwerpunktmässig die Entwicklung der psychologischen Rehabilitation bei Querschnittlähmung von den Anfängen bis zum aktuellen Forschungsstand. Dabei wird gezeigt, wie sich die psychologische Rehabilitation innerhalb der medizinischen Strukturen zu entwickeln begann und welchen Weg sie genommen hat. Die ersten Betrachtungsweisen waren psychoanalytisch geprägt, gefolgt von Phasenmodellen der Verarbeitung mit oft anekdotischen Beschreibungen. Dann setzte die empirische Outcome-Forschung ein, die ihre Ergebnisse mit der anschliessenden Coping- und Appraisal-Forschung zu erhellen versuchte. Es werden ein erweitertes Bewältigungsmodell (Airbag), ein Trainingsprogramm (CET), die soziale Unterstützung und die Belastung der Angehörigen sowie die Beziehung zum bio-psycho-sozialen Modell der ICF beschrieben.

Psychological rehabilitation in spinal cord injury – an overview of research data

Summary

This contribution describes steps in the development of the psychological rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injury up to the current research status. Thereby it is shown how the psychological rehabilitation took roots in the medical environment. The first approach based on psychoanalytic interpretations followed by stage models foremost explaining the adjustment process anecdoticly. Then, the empirical outcome research has started trying to highlight their results with the following coping and appraisal research. A more comprehensive model of adjustment (Airbag), the cognitive effectiveness training (CET), social support and the close persons' burden as well as the relationship to the bio-psycho-social model of the ICF are presented.
