Summary

The sutureless contact lens and ring system (HOYA) has been evaluated over a 2-years-period. This suture-free contact lens system facilitates visualization of the fundus during vitrectomy due to excellent central stability allowing shorter surgical time. It also enables us to avoid additional trauma associated with the lens ring fixation procedure, moreover there is no limitation for combined surgical techniques.

Zusammenfassung

Das nahtlose Kontaktlinsen- und Halteringsystem von HOYA wurde über einen Zeitraum von 2 Jahren evaluiert. Es verkürzt die Operationszeit, bietet durch die ausgezeichnete Zentrierung einen klaren Funduseinblick während der gesamten Vitrektomie, vermeidet durch die nahtlose Technik ein zusätzliches Trauma und stellt keine Einschränkung in Bezug auf kombinierte Operationstechniken dar.
