Abstract
Dental erosion and erosive tooth wear have become of increasing interest for dentists, scientists and even patients in recent years. The increasing interest is due to the fact that the prevailing life style, high consumption of erosive foods and drinks and also more frequent internal health problems seem to provoke the occurrence of dental erosion and erosive tooth wear. This article gives an overview of the current definition, causes, main risk factors, diagnostics, therapy and preventive measures.
