Summary

In special cases a successful root canal treatment is a necessary condition for the preservation of teeth and their prostodontic rehabilitation. In this article a systematic concept of root canal treatment is described, as it is implemented at the Department of Oral Medicine of the Aeskulap private hospital in Brunnen, Switzerland.
