The antibody CCRC-M36 was found to bind de-esterified homogalacturonans (M. Hahn, personal communication), despite that the Arabidopsis mucilage used as the antigen is primarily de-branched RGI. Thus, the labeling pattern for this antibody reflects homogalacturon distribution, not RGI.

Although the CCRC-M38 antibody was raised to Arabidopsis seed mucilage (principally RGI), this antibody appears to recognize de-esterified homogalacturonans (P>4) (M. Hahn, personal communication).
