Acta Mechanica Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary.

This paper considers articulated columns which are composed of connected rigid segments with rotational springs at the joints. The problem is formulated in terms of nonlinear difference equations. The buckling forces and post-buckling properties are found for five different combinations of end conditions. The fixed-hinged column shows limit load and snap through characteristics.
