Synthesis and Basicity of 4-Amino-2-phenylquinazolines

Summary.

 A new group of 6- and 7-substituted compounds of 4-amino-2-phenylquinazoline were synthesized by reaction of N-arylbenzimidoyl chlorides with cyanamide in the presence of TiCl4. The products were identified by spectroscopic methods, their dissociation constants were determined and are discussed.
