Abstract

In the current research, a new Co(II)-based coordination polymer has been successfully prepared under the hydrothermal reaction conditions and structurally characterized, which has the chemical formula of [pyH]4[Co6.5(1,4-NDC)8(OH)(py)4(H2O)3].H2O (1,4-NDCH2 = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, py = pyridine). Furthermore, the complex shows photocatalytic activities toward degradation of organic dye methylene blue under UV irradiation. Then, the research will evaluate the treatment activity of the synthetic compound against Staphylococcus aureus induced postpartum infection and reveal its detailed mechanism. The inhibitory effect of the compound on postpartum infection was determined by the colony-forming unit assay. Next, the content of the inflammatory cytokines in the plasma was also measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) identification assay kit after compound treatment in vivo.
