Abstract
A green and efficient one-pot synthesis of functionalized dihydropyridines by four-component reaction of aldehydes, amine, malononitrile, and dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate in presence of meglumine has been developed. The main advantages of this new methodology are reusability of catalyst, simplicity of the starting materials, short reaction time, one-pot and high yields of products.
