One-pot synthesis of α-hydroxyamides using alkyl isocyanides and aryl aldehydes

Abstract

A simple and efficient approach for the synthesis of α-hydroxyamides in fairly good yields by the reaction of aromatic aldehydes and alkyl isocyanides at room temperature is presented.
