Comments

This case reminds us of the importance of staying alert to potentially life-endangering complications such as postoperative delayed arterial thrombosis. The diagnostic armamentarium, including CT angiography, MRI, and digital subtraction angiography, should be available for urgent evaluation on a 24/7 basis and used as soon as possible for the diagnosis and evaluation of possible complications. The authors illustrate the efficacy of early treatment with endovascular thrombectomy, and this option should be available in tertiary care centers.
