Zusammenfassung
Die Bedeutung von Carl Friedrich Gauß bei der Entdeckung wichtiger statistischer Begriffe und Methoden wird dargestellt. Dabei gehen wir auch Prioritätsfragen nach. Ein Ausblick auf den Einfluss von Gauß auf Entwicklungen im 20. Jahrhundert wird gegeben.
