The work is divided into four parts. The first part comprises eight chapters which treat successively the historical aspects of chordoma, epidemiology, the embryology of the notochord, molecular biology, cytogenesis, the local and metastatic invasive character, the pathological anatomy and finally the experimental models of chordoma, in particular by fabric tissue culture.

The three following chapters constitute the second part devoted to the radiological diagnosis and molecular imagery.

The third left contains 12 chapters of surgical treatment, since decision making, then the various ways initially and the techniques of assistance intra-operative, like the MRI.

The fourth part is devoted to the specific clinical forms, of radiotherapy, radio-surgery, or the pediatric form.
