Palliative surgery for proximal tibial metastasis using percutaneous femoro-tibial intramedullary nailing

Abstract

We report the case of an 80-year-old woman treated by palliative knee arthrodesis for metastasis of the proximal left tibia secondary to bladder carcinoma, using percutaneous femoro-tibial intramedullary arthrodesis nailing.

Résumé

Les auteurs rapportent l’observation d’une femme de 80 ans traitée pour une métastase du tibia proximal gauche secondaire à un cancer de la vessie, par une arthrodèse au moyen d’un clou centromédullaire fémoro-tibial.
