In the article: "Effects of melatonin on interleukins and heat stress protein responses in donkeys subjected to packing during the hot-dry season in the Northern Guinea Savanna zone of Nigeria", this erratum was detected:
The first statement in the first line of the abstract is: “Melatonin is a hormone secreted from the pineal gland in the suprachiasmatic nuclei of the hypothalamus.”
The above statement is not correct. The statement should be corrected to read: “Melatonin is a hormone secreted from the pineal gland.”
The pineal gland is not located in the "suprachiasmatic nuclei of the hypothalamus", so the phrase in italics should be deleted.
The original article has been corrected.
