Abstract

Day-by-day the number of vehicles is increasing and we can notice that the increase in road traffic in urban as well as in rural areas on some extend. These increased number of vehicles and increasing traffic has badly affected the road accident rate. The death rate in these cases road accidents has been increased tremendously in recent years. One major reason behind this increased death rate is lack of availability of emergency services. Lot of human and economic loss can be controlled if emergency services get delivered on time at the location of accident. This paper proposes the model based on Internet of Things and Cloud Connectivity which can detect accident of the vehicle and is able to notify the nearby emergency services about the accident. This system comprises of microcontroller with Wi-Fi module, gas detection sensor, gyroscope sensor, IR sensor, etc. The alerting system is based on application which notifies the emergency services with live location of the accident.
