Abstract
In recent years digital technology plays a vital role in data transmission. Most of the digital content or data exchange happens through the internet. Provision of authentication and copyright protection is the most challenging problem. Digital watermarking technology is a promising solution to provide authentication and copyrights. The proposed algorithm is an efficient blind watermarking scheme using discrete wavelet transform (DWT)–singular value decomposition (SVD) with range conversion method. In general, DWT is time–frequency based domain it is used to transform image coefficients into different sub bands such as LL, LH, HL and HH. In this method the LH–HL sub bands of host image are used to embed the watermark. Embedding information is spread across the original image and increased robustness of watermarking. As experimental results show using MATLAB R2014b, the achieved PSNR of about 45 dB after extracted the watermark image and correlation factor is close to 0.9 for different attacks. The proposed method is useful for copyright protection and data authentication.
