Summary

The paper addresses the demodulation of load modulated signals. Such signals are typically generated by transponders in the reactive near field of High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (HF-RFID) systems in the 13.56 MHz range. Besides a brief analysis of limitations of such systems we present a simple yet robust demodulation method which can be used with detuned antennas and non-binary modulation methods.
