Abstract
Based on different steels, such as DX54, DP600, DP1000, CP1000, and X5CrNi18-10, the behavior of the elastic modulus should be investigated as the forming process increases. The behavior was investigated by hysteresis in the tensile test and described by evaluating the Chord module. It showed that the elastic modulus of transverse samples is higher in the initial state than that of longitudinal samples. With increasing forming, the modulus of elasticity of the AHSS steels decreased very sharply to about 2 % elongation and approached saturation there. The relative decrease was very similar in longitudinal and transverse samples. The lowest decrease of the modulus of elasticity with increasing degree of deformation could be observed with approx. 10 % with the ferrite steel DX54. With DP600, which has additional martensite fraction, the drop in modulus of elasticity is much more than 20 %. In comparison, the modulus of elasticity of DP1000 with increased martensite fraction decreased less, but the amount of anelastic strain was higher due to the higher strength. The modulus of elasticity of the CP1000 decreased slightly compared to DP1000. A predominantly austenitic steel, X5CrNi18-10, only slowly approached saturation, but had the largest drop in modulus of more than 25 %.
