Designing an interactive teaching model of English language using Internet of Things

Due to the pandemic and similar concerns, establishing physical courses is a major pain for both students and teachers nowadays, and as a result, the global education system has switched to an online scheme from a physical scheme. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a fast expanding network of numerous “connected things’’. In academics, the usage of IoT is like a fresh wave of change that has given a new dimension and possibilities for improving the teaching–learning process and the infrastructure of educational institutions. In this context, the impact of English instruction can be enhanced by using research on an English interactive teaching approach using IoT. This paper aims to establish an interactive education paradigm using the preliminary results obtained via the use of IoT. To improve English education, IoT technology is being used to study the interactive teaching model of English. For this purpose, numerous sensors were used to improve the English language rectification of learners’ diction and speech by comparing them to the software’s standard diction and voice. These sensors include video sensors for diction acquisition and computer analysis in English learners, and voice sensors for speech acquisition and computer analysis. The decision made using the reading of these sensors allow the students to make active judgments more quickly and automatically by just browsing a web page. Besides, it can help teachers by allowing them to select resources that are suited for students of various levels. The study’s experimental results showed that the planned research is highly effective.
