Cracks in anisotropic elastic media

Abstract

A numerical method for 3D problems of cracks in anisotropic media is developed, and this is based on the variational approach to the crack opening problem. Properties of the pseudodifferential operator of the crack equilibrium problem are considered. Numerical examples are also presented.
