Abstract
A case of a coincidental finding of hepatic carcinoid micrometastases, barely visible to the eye, during routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy is reported. The micrometastases were possibly recognized as a result of a beneficial aspect of laparoscopic surgery, namely the >10× enlargement of tissue/pathologic structures.
