Experimental lifetimes of some levels of Ne ii

Abstract

The radiative lifetimes of some levels belonging to the 2p43d and 2p44s configurations of Ne ii have been measured using high frequency deflection technique with a delayed coincidence single-photon counting arrangement. The measurements have been performed under conditions where pressure dependent effect is negligible. The lifetimes of 3d2F5/2 and 4s4P3/2 levels have been measured for the first time. A comparison with other results is presented.
