This article comments on Sigrid Dümmlein’s contribution “Approaches to a dynamic understanding of remembering and forgetting”. The following comments focus on the case study mentioned in the main text. The material is examined both from the author’s own point of view and with reference to René Roussillon’s concept of “primary trauma”.
