After publication of our article, it has come to our attention that in figure 9 the bottom left photo of normal rat liver shows a section reacted with a test probe instead as stated with the mutated NF-κB double-stranded oligo-DNA probe as negative control. Detection of NF-κB by SWH in normal and iron-overload rat liver after PH. The liver specimens of normal and iron-overload rats were excised at various time-points after PH: 0, 6, 12 and 24 h. The paraffin embedded sections were analyzed for the expression of activated NF-κB by SWH. In the upper panel, the sections were reacted with the double stranded oligo-DNA probe with NF-κB consensus sequence, and in the lower panel they were reacted with mutated NF-κB double-stranded oligo-DNA probe as negative control. The red color represents positive cells as determined by image analysis system (bar 25 μm). Distribution pattern of NF-κB positive cells was similar to that of Fig. 8
