Response to “Letter to the Editor” by Antonio Pirodda entitled “Idiopathic sudden hearing loss: another kind of circulatory risk should not be neglected”

Dear editor,

As mentioned in our study and the letter of Pirodda, MPV may show variability with age and some chronic diseases. But in our study we excluded the diseases which may affect MPV values and specified that MPV should be taken into consideration in patients with sudden hearing loss without any chronic disease to remind the existence of possible microvascular events or any microembolies.
