Abstract

Introduction

The vagina as a primary site of malignant lymphoma in woman is extremely rare.

Case report

We report here a 30-year-old patient with a primary vaginal non-Hodgkin's lymphoma stage IEA, follicular large cell of B lineage, with an excellent response to cytotoxic chemotherapy (CHOP) and event-free survival of 28 months.

Conclusion

Primary involvement of the vagina can be successfully treated by pelvic irradiation, but in young women chemotherapy should be considered to preserve fertility, as well as quality of life.
