Intensive care management of postoperative complications after cardiac surgery

Zusammenfassung

Nach einer Herzoperation befindet sich der Patient auf der Intensivstation weiterhin in einer vulnerablen Phase und ist anfällig für Komplikationen. Diese gilt es, schnell zu diagnostizieren und zu behandeln. Dieser Artikel beschreibt das Vorgehen bei den 3 häufigen Komplikationen: Blutung, Kreislaufdysfunktion und respiratorischem Versagen.

Abstract

After cardiac surgery patients on the intensive care unit are still in a vulnerable phase and are prone to suffer complications. These have to be diagnosed and treated quickly. This article gives an overview of the approach for the three common complications: bleeding, circulatory dysfunction and respiratory failure.
