Abstract
A 64-year-old man developed chest pains while gardening. Aortic dissection and coronary artery disease were excluded but a computed tomography scan of the chest revealed an aneurysmatic enlargement of the pulmonary artery and an intraluminal fluttering structure. Sternotomy was immediately carried out for replacement of the pulmonary artery. Histology identified an intimal sarcoma of both branches of the pulmonary artery. The pulmonary artery was replaced by a T-shaped Gore-Tex prosthesis.
