Das nationale Register zum externen Qualitätsvergleich in der Intensivmedizin

Zusammenfassung

Qualitätssicherung in der Medizin ist eine gesetzlich vorgegebene Pflicht. Intensivmedizinische Daten in der Qualitätssicherung Herzchirurgie, wie auch in anderen Fachdisziplinen werden bisher kaum oder gar nicht erfasst. Mit dem Kerndatensatz „Qualitätssicherung Intensivmedizin” der Arbeitsguppe der DIVI haben wir überprüft, inwieweit Patienten einer Thorax-, Herz- und Gefäßchirurgischen Intensivstation mit diesem Kerndatensatz darstellbar sind. Anhand 1648 konsekutiver Patienten haben wir die Krankheitsschwere, Prognose und Pflege- bzw. Therapieaufwand unserer Patienten mittels SAPS II, SOFA und TISS 28 gut darstellen können. Mit zusätzlichen fachspezifischen Daten, als modulares Konzept versehen, scheint uns der Datensatz für Patienten der Thorax-Herz-Gefäßchirurgie gut geeignet.

Summary

Law requires quality control in medicine. Unfortunately, data pertaining to the intensive care in cardiac surgery, as well as intensive care in other disciplines, was found to be poorly represented or not at all. Using a compellation of essential data, called “Quality Control Intensive Care”, members of a working group of the DIVI have analyzed to what extent it was possible to represent patients of a cardio-thoracic intensive care unit, utilizing this compellation. Using data generated by 1648 patients, it was possible to display the degree of illness, prognosis and therapeutic need of these patients using SAPS II, SOFA and TISS 28. Adding data concerning this specific medical discipline, the data compellation “Quality Control Intensive Care” seems to be an adequate and applicable way to represent patient information in cardio-thoracic care.
