Zusammenfassung
Innovative Entwicklungen in der Pharmakotherapie der juvenilen idiopathischen Arthritis (JIA) und hier insbesondere die Biologika ermöglichen die Formulierung neuer Therapieziele. Eine Remission mit Verkürzung der aktiven Krankheitsphase sowie Vermeidung von Schäden und Behinderungen kann inzwischen angestrebt werden. Die neuen Therapien stellen zudem eine Herausforderung an die Überwachung der Sicherheit dar, die Pharmakovigilanz. Hierzu hat die Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendrheumatologie (GKJR) früh ein Register aufgestellt, um selbst und im Wesentlichen unabhängig Informationen zur Arzneimittelsicherheit zu erhalten. Neben der Erfassung der durch die Therapie erreichten Verbesserungen sind insbesondere die Bewertung der akuten Verträglichkeit und langfristigen Sicherheit der bei Kindern und Jugendlichen eingesetzten Medikamente Aufgaben des Registers.
Abstract
Innovative developments in the pharmacotherapy of juvenile idiopathic arthritis and especially biologics allow the formulation of new therapeutic targets, such as the rapid induction of remission with shortening of the period of active disease and therefore preventing damage and disability. These new therapies also represent a challenge to the monitoring of drug safety, the pharmacovigilance. For this purpose the Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology has set up an early register to record achievements in treatment improvement and in addition to independently assess information on drug safety, acute tolerance and long-term safety.
