Lipidsenkende Therapie zur Primärprävention der koronaren Herzkrankheit – Contra lipidsenkende Therapie

Zusammenfassung

Hinsichtlich der Gesamtmortalität ergibt sich kein Nachweis für einen Nutzen der primärpräventiven Lipidsenkung. Zur Primärprävention des Myokardinfarktes scheint der Einsatz von Statinen bei einem jährlichen Ausgangsrisiko für ein koronares Ereignis von >3,0% oberhalb eines bestimmten Serum-Cholesterin-Spiegels sinnvoll zu sein.

Summary

With regard to total mortality rates, there is no benefit of primary prevention by lipid lowering. For the prevention of coronary events the use of statins seems to be effective in high risk individuals (risk of a coronary event >3.0% per year) above a certain serum cholesterol level.
