Abstract

In children with cervico-facial nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, the treatment of choice is excision of the whole node. The alternative surgical treatment modality is drainage and curettage via the cutaneous route. However, these approaches include the risks of nerve damage, scarring, and keloid formation. This paper describes an intra-oral approach to the facial node that can greatly reduce these risks.
